Fingernails pressed white
Against her skin
Fractured thoughts
Sinking into cellophane dreaming.
Sweet promises
Of relapse
Her only lullaby
To drug her into sleep
Wish you could see the shattered glass
Hidden away on the inside.
Deeper than desperate heart beats.
Lips as sweet and delicate as acid rain
Speaking softly as
She sends drugs sweeping into her
Paralysed mind
And perforated veins.
Cold touch of paper-lit illness
Whispering secrets to the windowpane
Quietly seeping into the pale sheets
So afraid that theres no one to listen.
Some of them have a future.
Some of them are just sanity
Amplified.
Some of them fear the light
Some of them wish for security
Staying awake
Into passing nights.
Sometimes the sound makes a curtain
Of safety around her
Shutting out unspoken screams.
Gentle heartfelt touches
Become sins
Creeping through twisted meanings
Living for the fleeting mornings
Shes screaming out for Novocain
Cold bones and cold heart strings -
What a beautiful tragedy
Hiding blind in the fear and shame
Singing alone in an empty room
Staring through the window
At the quiet street outside
Wrapped in blankets
And emotionless tunes.
Trapped in self-made prophecies
And saccharine lies
Her breathing is shallow
As the needle goes through
And what a beautiful tragedy.
Fragile lips
And cellophane clues

Good imagery too.
My favourite stanza is:
"Sweet promises
Of relapse
Her only lullaby
To drug her into sleep"

I wanna hurt you just to hear you screaming my name.......
